Welcome to Luminarys ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the Luminarys iOS app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive limited profile information from those providers.
• User Content: Quotes you save as favorites, goals and milestones you create, and any profile information you provide (such as a display name or photo).
• Usage Data: App activity such as swipe counts, streaks, last active date, and selected quote categories.
• Device Identifiers: A Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token used to deliver push notifications to your device.
• Purchase Information: Whether you have an active premium subscription, processed entirely by Apple — we never receive your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To sync your favorites, goals, and preferences across sessions
• To deliver your daily motivational notification (Daily Spark)
• To track your streak and engagement activity
• To process and verify your premium subscription status
• To improve app performance and fix issues

3. Third-Party Services

Luminarys uses the following third-party services that may collect data as described in their own privacy policies:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config, and Analytics — Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google Sign-In: Optional authentication method — Google Privacy Policy
• Apple Sign In: Optional authentication method — Apple Privacy Policy
• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Used to display ads to free users — Google Privacy Policy

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure. We use industry-standard security measures including Firestore security rules and Firebase Authentication to protect your information from unauthorized access.

Certain data (such as cached quotes and swipe counts) is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults and is not transmitted to our servers.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed from our systems within 30 days. Anonymized usage statistics may be retained for analytics purposes.

6. Children's Privacy

Luminarys is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of push notifications at any time via iOS Settings
• Opt out of personalized ads via your device's ad tracking settings

8. Advertising

Free users may see ads served by Google AdMob. These ads may use device advertising identifiers to show relevant content. You can limit ad tracking in your iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Premium subscribers do not see ads.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
